The representatives of the Press Freedom Southeast Asia Coalition (PFMsea) which involved, the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI, Indonesia), the Association Journalist Timor Leste (AJTL, Timor Leste), Cambodian Journalists Alliance (CamboJA, Cambodia), Center for Independent Journalism (CIJ, Malaysia), the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP, Philippines), and Prachatai (Thailand) had a meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia on 24 July 2025, to continue strengthening collaboration on press freedom monitoring and reporting on the violation of journalistic rights. PFMsea’s members have agreed that the coordinators will rotate rolls. Coordination will be handed off from Indonesia to Philippines in 2025-2026.
