In 2023, we continued to observe journalists and members of the independent media facing all forms of harassment. According to CamboJA’s records, at least 33 cases were reported against 44 journalists, especially during the months leading up to the July 2023 general election. All cases will be detailed in our 2023 annual report, which will be released early next year.
