Job Summary
The Communication and Membership Assistant is responsible for support to managing CamboJA’s communications strategies and strengthening partnership with stakeholders, especially membership engagement. This role focuses on increasing CamboJA's visibility, promoting its programs and activities, and fostering a strong, engaged membership network. The position plays a key role in ensuring effective communication with members, partners, donors, and the public, while supporting CamboJA’s mission to promote independent journalism in Cambodia.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in communications, membership engagement, journalism field, or similar roles, preferably in a media or nonprofit organization.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in both English and Khmer.
- Experience managing social media platforms, websites, and digital communication tools.
- Knowledge of media landscapes and journalism-related issues in Cambodia.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with members, media partners, and stakeholders.
- Passion for independent journalism, freedom of expression, and media development.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate challenges, and act independently when needed.
