On Friday 13th August, Meanchey district authorities confiscated the press identification card of An Vichet and forced him as well as the other CamboJA’s member Lors Lib Lib to delete all of their pictures and videos of villagers protesting against joint police force of Meanchey district who were demolishing their houses along Boeung Tumpun lake. An Vichet told CamboJA that the authorities even threatened him of arrest if he refused to remove all the images in front of them. Although he tried to prove that he was a journalist by presenting the press card, they still forced him to delete all the pictures from his camera and even confiscated his press card. The authorities still refused to return the press card to him, regardless of his explanation, and referred him to take the card at the district office.
